Is there really such a thing as Monet "Runway" jewelry?

As I understand it, "runway" is just a general expression that popped up a few years ago to mean "big and splashy". As in "runway-worthy".

There may be some additional history to how it came about, but that's all I know. You see it a lot in title descriptors of modern jewelry on Ebay.

I remember thinking, "what the heck does that mean" the first couple of times I saw it, too.

I know some auctions claim to have pieces that were featured in this or that runway show, maybe that is how it got started. No idea.

    Nice set.
