This really shows my lack of experience when it comes to painting. This painting that shows crackling and object of different shapes, but for some reason, it seems like the objects were sprayed on the canvas. Confused

The painting has a cheap looking staple job to boot.
    It is apprximately 2 1/2" X 3 1/2".

Firstly, it's not an abstract painting because, visually, the objects are accurately represented. It properly would be called a still life. And it looks like a decorative reproduction. These works of Colonial-era objects were popular back in the 1960s-1970s (as well as earlier periods) when people were furnishings their homes with Colonial-inspired furniture.

If you're really interested in learning, then just ask. People are always happy to help. (And no one is an expert on every subject.)
