IS THIS BLANKET INDIAN?

    This came out of a storage unit a friend bought at auction. Hw told me it was Indian (native American) - is it?

    Doesn't really look like a blanket to me, more like a rug. A lot of these things were actually made in Mexico.

    (Just because your friend called it "Indian" doesn't mean you should use that term in the title (since you made a better assumption about what he "meant.") Since this is an international site, many readers might conclude you asked about whether it was made in India.)

    What are the measurements? It could be a saddle blanket. I'm not an expert but, it looks like a saddle blanket that I purchased in Mexico many years ago.

    How come the natives of Mexico aren't considered Native Americans?

    The Navajo were in Mexico until their territory was purchased by the US
