Finally bit the bullet and bought this after a year of looking at it. With gold prices where they are I couldn't leave it again. I paid a little under scrap for it, it weighs 17 grams. However as much as I like it I feel like it's a tad too big. It looks good from the front but it hangs onto my hand a little. It'd be a super easy resize but I hate doing that to older pieces like this! What do you all think?

I wouldn't mess with it. It doesn't fall off and the larger size is highly desirable.

It would drive me nuts to wear it like that but it’s very sharp looking!

How much work would it be to take a link out? If it’s very easy and doesn’t damage it/could be restored easily, then I would take a link out and store it carefully in the same box. I’d worry it would catch on something and get broken as it is.

It isn't too big, but you are wearing it too low on the arm. These bracelets were worn higher up on the arm, often over gloves:

If you prefer to wear it on the wrist, then I would do as KSW advised to prevent the barcelet getting caught on something and breaking.

Thank you all!! I tried wearing it earlier and it hits everything unfortunately espcially doorhandles. I'm actually more concerned about damaging it by wearing it than resizing! I'll will go see how much it will be and obviously be sure to keep the links in a safe place.

Ha, all my bracelets wear low. If they don't fall off my hand, I wear 'em.

I’m one that resizes. Just took a link out of a 60’s Antonio Pineda moonstone bracelet. Wish I could have taken out 2 for earrings but 1 did it.

My opinion is to wear it as is for a while and see how much it bugs you. That’s what I did and mine bugged me!

BTW wear it in good health-it’s lovely.

my watchmaker added 2 metal links to my Dads Concord watch , no charge , when it needed a spring looked after..... that was very nice of him..... but now my watch...looks like Sparts bracelet .......and it's much heavier......and I stopped trying to wear it,,,:(

Maybe spart can start wearing work gloves as a fashion statement.

The quote was a little too high for me to size it just so I can wear it every now and then lol. I will keep it as is for now and still wear it sporadically!!

How much would you all expect to pay to size this down ?

I'd be happy to find a big one. Size down??? I'm no help at all.
