Hello all, I don't know what to make of this kitty. Has a slit in its back like a bank, but nowhere to remove the coins again. It has glittery bits on the bow and ears and fake-jewel eyes. Is it a weird reproduction? Or a weird antique? Is it chalkware or ceramic?

    It is 10" tall.

    You're correct, it's chalkware.

Cool! Thank you! How can you tell, if you don't mind a teaching moment? And any tips on how can I try and determine how old it is?
