Featured Is this clasp supposed to be like this or is something missing?

    Seems like this clasp wouldn't be safe to wear. Is something missing or would it always have been like this?

    It is pretty though, looks Czech, the rose could be celluloid. Could you post a view of of the back/clasp straight on, just to be sure?

    I like it. Some of the jewelry reminds me of my grandmother's items so it is like going home again.

    Correct that nothing appears to be missing in the clasp, so maybe just a lower end earlier style clasp?

    Certainly between the wars Czech, clasp is fine. Have a look at NeigerTendril.

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    I have some with that sort of clasp. Some are pretty ineffective and some do work well. They can't be worn on clothing made of a very thick fabric, though.
