    hi!
Sold to me as an inkwell but... it’s quite heavy. I thought the Scribble might have been a maker/siggie but it looks like chicken scratch or part of the pattern on the bottom. Any help with maker, origin, age and use would greatly be appreciated

    ty e1!
    Happy hump day

I can’t tell, has it got a top? An inkwell needs a top as the ink would just dry up.

It didn’t come with one and I am thinking it really couldn’t be an inkwell

    I would say candle holder. Isn't a standard candle 3/4" ?

    Hi Mikey,
Regular pillar candles are 3/4" smaller ones down to !/8" and larger to 3ft. Tapers are measured differently.

Is hole too small to be a hair receiver?

Don’t think it would be a hair receiver. The top does not come off you might not get the hair out!

The wicks are usually a thick cord which coils down into the oil.
