    It is about 5x5. Pretty cool looking little piece I'm wondering where it's from PXL_20221217_215856161.jpg PXL_20221217_215842949.jpg PXL_20221217_215748867.jpg PXL_20221217_215852149.jpg PXL_20221217_215856161.jpg PXL_20221217_215842949.jpg PXL_20221217_215748867.jpg PXL_20221217_215852149.jpg

A gourd would be a more likely material.
Pictured, may be a gila monster.

It does look like it is made of wood - with a cylindrical recess in the vase shaped form. Is that correct?

    My guess would be Mexican.

The word is venomous. Can be, tho rarely is, fatal to humans. A most unpleasant experience, nonetheless.

My guess would also be lathe-turned wood, then decorated. Would not be Native American, in my opinion.

The jar has a "tribal" feel to it, but don't ask me which tribe. If any.
