This was part of 12 paintings & prints I got at a local thrift store today. Most are mid century abstract & impressionist. I saw the signature of this one & thought Max = Peter Max - and immediately put it in my pile!

But looking closer I'm thinking it may say 'Nixon'?
Could someone tell me what I have here?
    Hoping it's a Peter Max!
    Thanks

    I believe it may be:
    Werner Nöfer, "Lac Léman" 1968

oops - maybe I celebrated too soon! I looked at the Max signatures and the first one looks like it is close to mine. But I didn't realize you were suggesting a different artist SBSVC - I thought you were giving me a Peter Max title (that's what they mean by having blinders on - because Max was all I was seeing!). - I will google your suggestion & take a look; the signature definitely looks like it could be Nofer - I hope his work is rare & valuable! lol
    Thanks for the help!

Here are a few more Werner Nöfer "pop art" pieces:

I'm thinking that Journey's is probably a print.

Yes - it's also pencil signed #66 of 100 - but the pencil is hard to get to show up in photo; I'll take one outside tomorrow
    Thanks again!
