Is This Really Japanese?

My wife recently purchased a partially complete tea set which was sold as Japanese.
The pattern is really pretty but I was wondering if the mark on the bottom of the saucer as shown is really Japanese? To be honest, the mark is not very clear on most pieces, and the one shown is probably one of the better ones.

    Hi Bill!

    Welcome to Antiquers.........:cat:

I'm not familiar with the mark, but it could well be Japanese.

Please wait for others to offer their opinions.

Hello, Bill. Can't say that your wife's tea set was made in Japan for sure, but many Japanese products in the 20th century were marked by an importer and not the factory. I don't recognize this mark.

I think that you may be correct. The attached photos appear to back up your statement. Upon another review of all the items in the set, some don't even have a mark which further backs up your assumptions. Thanks for all your efforts.
