A collector wants to sell me those 2 Colt 44 percussion revolvers- Sheriff & Navy, albeit they are not American/British made like the originals.
Both barrels are inscribed with the label "Black powder only- Made in Italy".
From what I can deduce, they were both designed to shoot, and follow the same patent & design by Colt. Moreover, they bear die markings of several armories & are embossed with serial numbers.

The collector wants about 600$ for each (The ""Colt"" Navy is almost mint in box). Is it worth the investment?

    Cheers.

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

maybe he want's a premium for the box and hardware....
    but.....
there are many internet sites out there that will help you to know what to look for in a used gun.............I highly doubt that even one of them will consider a used kit gun from Italy to be a smart purchase.
I'd hate to buy someone elses mistakes..... in gun form.
