Featured Ivory? Cane top? Art Deco?

    Those can be replaced, small blue glass cabs can be found in craft stores for little money. Maybe you find a piece of broken jewellery that you can harvest 2 cabs from, even better.

    Thanks for the input so far! No signs of a metal ring (ferrule). The wood has threads from the self-tapping metal screw but don't think it was pre-threaded in any way. The other end shows no signs of any threads. It would be easy to mount this back onto a walking stick or parasol and I may consider doing so.

    Dang it ! The last time I was at the thrift it was packed and I waited forever to pay and get the hell out and as Im walking out the door I see a cart roll out with a bunch of canes and they were snatched before I made it back in ! Is that burlwood ? I like that pretty thing a lot !

    I think it'd be cool to turn it back into a walking stick. Regarding ferrules, I have heard of people using brass pipe-fittings / end-caps as ferrules for walking sticks. Or you could just by generic rubber ones online.

    whoo - If it was entirely missing its keris, I can see a non-expert making the mistake. But even so? Sheesh.
