There are six of these, left to me by my Dad's widow. She believed they were old, rare an' valuable. The saucer is 4 7/8" wide, 3/4" high; the cup is 2 7/16" high, 2 3/4" rim diameter. The pair weigh 5.2 oz.
I have no clue about English porcelain at all, but have hopes there are enough clues in these pics for some of you good folks to illuminate the truth about age an' relative rarity of the set. I admit to defaulting here rather than trying to find similar elsewhere, like on eBay; that's where they'll be offered after I learn enough to describe them accurately in a listing. Thanks for lookin'!

Sunshine ware was produced from 1940-63.

Sunshine is not the pattern name, by the way. Sunshine ware was a line of ironstone or earthenware with the creamy ivory-colored "SOL" glaze. It came in various patterns.

    Re: chocolate vs. demitasse
Demitasse cups tend to be shorter than chocolate cups, with wider rim diameters, and are sometimes flared in shape. I'm leaning to demitasse for your sets. The years of production make demitasse most likely, too.

    VERY good...Thanks, Bluumz!
I thought demitasse, too...but deferred to her wisdom an' age...she made it within 4 months of 101 years...a Sweet Lady!

Ah, so. My alleged memory, or what may be left of it.
    I apologize for that lapse.
