Japanese Carved Wooden Lotus-Leaf Tray with Frog

    This was one of Uncle Leonard's early purchases in Kyoto Japan, in 1946; it had been repaired when acquired (pic 10). He gave it to dad in '93.
    It's 13 1/4" long, 10 1/8" wide; weight is ~7 1/4 oz. The frog's body is ~1 1/4" long.
    The wood is an unknown species, but may be Paulownia (Kiri). its age is also unknown, an' as far as I can see, it is unsigned. I haven't shown it elsewhere, so am about as uninformed as y'all, beyond what you see. All comments an' suggestions are most welcome, an' thanks for lookin'!
