Japanese? Old? Recognize me? TYIA

    Hi I went to an estate sale a while back and I have a few pieces that I am having trouble identifying and this is one of them. They only history I know is that the wife was Japanese and met her soldier husband during one of the wars and he brought her back here. The items in the house seemed to be from the 60's and before. Any help is very much appreciated. TYIA

    I think it is American not Japanese.
    Don't know the who though.

    This is Japanese Awaji ware which yours some what resembles. However it is the base that doesn't look right to me.

    Wait for other opinions. Be sure to check back in day or so if no one answers tonight.

    Someone else suggested that but the ones I saw looked like drip paint and I did not think mine was similar These pieces are much closer to it. Thank you, I will wait patiently
