I think its a late Kinkozan but I'm not sure. If anyone can provide any information regarding the history and possible price id really appreciate it. thank you

this isn't something I am knowledgeable about but I recently catalogued one similar and it was 1920's Satsuma - Kinkozan tsukuru.

You and @laura9797 are both correct, it is a form of the Kinkozan mark. It is suspected these marks were used just prior to WW2 (1930's) when exports had dropped dramatically, and the general economic issues were causing lots of issues for Japanese industry.

They are not currently much sought after and prices are restrained due to lack of interest in the home market. The quality at this time had dropped due to the economic issues and collectors are after more finely painted and earlier examples. Now is the time to buy rather than sell these.
