I blame my mother for my interest in antiques as she had me by her side at antique and estate auctions before I could walk.  We toured every historic home we encountered that was open to visitors (and several with kindly owners which were not.)  In 1968 she purchased an 1888 Queen Anne Victorian in Hutchinson, KS and spent the rest of her live lovingly restoring and furnishing it.  Ma passed away last year and the house is now with my husband and I.  We continue to maintain and restore - and I've recently been buying more period furniture than I can afford.  The home was my mother's life and treasure.  Hence, we've created a trust to preserve and maintain the home when we're both 6 foot under.
