    I think 1980s costume.
Sort of fits with the Egyptian look.

Maybe because there are four dots? :)

1980s bar pin. Others were doing it better.

Oh I knew it was costume, but I was doggedly trying to find out who. One of those deals where you are determined to identify till it drives you a little nuts. :) Thanks for the responses all .

As it's unmarked, extremely unlikely that you'll ever be ever to discover "who." And it wasn't an expensive item in its time.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I think it says ER-something....maybe M and then I don't know.....but underneath I do think it says MEXICO......that's all I've got..... Johnny, try different angled lighting on it.....it may show better.....there's also the remote possibility I could be waaaay out in Left field to....haha!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes: There's SOME sort of writing there!!!!!

I like it. It reminds me of artisan/costume jewellery we bought from Greece in the 1960s. They called it Ionian inspired, but that meant the general ancient Greek cultures before it all became muscular marble statues.;)
I think they are still making similar things. If this is indeed Ancient Greek inspired, dating it could be difficult. 1980s, like the others said, will do for me.:)

Matt gold, which I always like, makes a cheaper thing look classier. I'm seeing a Saxon or Romano British look to that.

I know less than nothing about jewellery but I really admire the experts here and I'm learning heaps here all the time. I know this is wrong, but something just said Mary Quant or MQ inspired to me.

I do think it will look stunning with a clean white shirt.

And nice to see brooches making a return. :)
