Knife & Fork

    Any clue what these are for.

    The knife is 7" and the fork a tad more.

    Blade and tines are steel, the handles are a silver skin over a ballast.(weighted)
    No marks anywhere, the knife looks like a small fish knife and is very sharp, smaller than a standard dinner knife.

    I agree that the tine arrangement is typical for carving fork, but remember that "carving sets" come in various sizes, for use with specific needs. This short-ish set might have been made for small game birds.

    I have plenty of those, but this one is diddy.
    The knife even smaller.
    I was thinking maybe Lobster or Crab utensils.

    Try Granny fork, maybe.
    Used for cooking, checking veggies. 2 or 3 time, 7 3/4 in.

    I`ve never heard that term before, just checked google images and none similar, this does have a matching knife.

    I don`t know, this is what I think of as a cheese knife with the short tines built in at the end of the blade. (See pic)

    I`m still thinking mine are for some type of shell fish.

    They polished up quite nice, I displayed them at Hemswell today.
    Two independant dealers both said they were for eating Trout.

    Who knew :shame:
