A dress and bloomers. They open at the bottom, but the top is closed. There is a loop for hanging. Each is about 6" by 5". Lots of knitters in my family, and crocheters, and embroiderers (in that now gone generation). Do these look hand done? They are in a department store box that is a very appropriate size. Do they have a purpose?

Somehow I never thought of you as the tiny nickers type.

They're a terrible choice for oven mitts, but tuck a bar of soap in the open end and it's a sudsy wash cloth.

    Perhaps regional differences. :cat:

I use one of those Jivvy......Hopefully a blue and white one, somewhat different style, is more acceptable?

I'll use it anyway though..........it's a handy hide for me so I don't have to keep placing it out of sight......(nothing tacky/lazy about me......lol)

The crotched pot holders/mats I believe are for table use for hot dishes, not for the oven.

I leave my dish soap sitting in the window above the sink. Naked. For all the world to see. :p

That's very likely what these pieces are, or were meant to be.
