The flag at the top of the Eiffel tower does not appear to be the French tri-color flag...? Previous suggestions made to me include commemorating the Opening of the Orly airport in 1932, a souvenir of a 1930s/40s Paris Air Show, or a post-WW2 Liberation of Paris girlfriend gift?</p><p>Others I have shown it to mostly seem to lean toward 1930s but I&#039;ve nothing really definite.
