Featured ladies vintage elco watch

something else i found today in a charity shop. it was £10 so not cheap cheap

since it has its nice original case, and looks pretty much unworn and working

i appreciate small ladies watches are out of style but i thought id take a gamble

never heard of the maker before

any one heard of the make, or can guestimate an age, 50s 60s ?

any thoughts appreciated

 

You can scroll down through this thread and find information about ELCO brand. Nice example of (lower end) ladies dress watch. 1950s to early 1960s, I'd think.

A marcasite cocktail watch to be slightly more precise. I agree on the date, looking at that box.

forget about Elco. was a name by Ruefli-Flury in Biel/Bienne mainly used for exporting watch parts since the mid-1920s till - probably 1960s/70s.
this here is what the Swiss call an "old wife watch" of no value.
