Lane Cedar Chest Age

I recently acquired a Lane Cedar chest, with the serial number of 2395110. I've read that determines the date, and can be read forwards or backwards, and that the two extra digits are the factory where it was made.

However, the only way it makes sense is to read it backwards, where the date is January 1, 1959, with the number 32 being the extra two digits. I can't seem to come up with any combination that makes sense when reading it forwards.

Any thoughts?
