Thirties ish. Might also be German, they’re similar backs. It’s well made.

Gorgeous layering, a sign of quality 'Gürtlerwerk'.

Gürtler were originally the craftspeople who made horse's harnesses and belt buckles. When glass bead and cabochon production in Bohemia got a boost in the early 19th century, Gürtler were the people who made base metal mounts and findings for jewellery.
Some Gürtlerwerk is intricate and exquisite. It was made in home workshops, by an entire family. The most intricate pieces were assembled by women and girls. The men stamped the components, using their own personal stamps.

    Beautiful!
I mention that one of the pearls is pierced as if taken from or prepared for a necklace. I also have a brooch with such pearls, is it a common practice or just happens accidentally?

They do look a bit odd to me too as you can see the the thread hole on one of them and the prongs are open. Im inclined to think that red stones should be there and the pearls are a replacement.
