Featured Large Japanese Charger - This is the one in the other picture Komokwa

    Hello Everyone - I have this large Japanese charger that Komokwa inquired about and I had to inform him I had very little information on it. I assumed it was produced sometime during the 1980's or 90's. If I remember right there was a flurry of Japanese items produced around that time - mostly tea sets, vases and plates. It measures 20" across. Can anyone give me any information about it. Thanks! Don

    Thanks! The living room has a kind of peacock motif so I think that's why I picked it up.

    Hello,

    Not too much information to give but its a 90s-00s Japanese plate with a transfer decoration in a pattern called Imari I think thats what the mark means as well). You will find this pattern from 18th century until yesterday its a very popular design. If you search Imari plate you will come up with many matches. Yo might want to try Gothburg for the exact marking.
