Featured large transferware bowl/cobalt vase

    couple of cheap charity finds today

    the bowl is quite nice measures 10" by 5 ", mark is blurred and incomplete

    the cobalt vase (6") is a puzzler, thinking perhaps not that old, but was intrigued by the turquoise inner, and rich colour

    any thoughts appreciated

    The bowl is George Jones Crescent c1895

    They made a lot of other stuff too as you just found out! Not a bad bowl though, even if not majolica.

    Yeah saw the majolica and said whoa
    Saw the transferware sold prices and said ooh :)

    Do like the way it's totally covered though

    That transfer pattern is almost done to emulate spongeware.

    I think the little vase may be French. Nice colour.

    yeah thats a great way too describe it, very blurry in areas too

    needed a direction for the vase, so will look into that

    thanks rink, the h & co germany pieces look the closest ive seen by a long shot, if if wasnt for the base on mine, id think that was it, will look into that more
