    Astonishing. Im not so sure I understand the reasons for such heights,but wow.

    Whoever sold that is dancing all over the room, if he's not somewhere passed out from the shock. That number is what I refer to as "silly money".

    I'd rather have 440 1 million dollar paintings and a 10 million gallery to display them.

    What do you do when you get bored with it after a few days?

    I think one reason this went that high is because it's the only known da Vinci still in private hands, it's one of those now or never type dealio's.

    I would’ve bid on it but the colors clashed with the marble floor in our Old Masters gallery and we simply cawn’t have that, my deah!

    I'd rather have the 440mil rather than the painting. It's not my style. I'd even settle for the 10% finder's fee.(LOL)
