Featured Little bone thingy, with screw threads

    Charity shop buy for £1. Was curious about what it might be part of and thought I could use it as a light or shower pull. Think it’s made from bone, 2and a half inches tall, 1 and a half inches wide. Screw threads at the top and bottom and it unscrews in the middle. Party of an umbrella handle perhaps, any other ideas of possible original use please? Thanks.

    Yes, it is bone. Very nice as is, but even nicer with the other bits. Maybe the shop still has them hidden somewhere in a box?

    I think its an electric lamp holder, the type that has the switch on the cord.

    Might be part of a sewing accoutrement.
    This cricket cage has some similar punched areas, though mine isn’t one of these but thought I’d show it for interest.
