I just found an inherited Japanese (?) vase. The height of it is 9 centimeters or roughly 3 1/2". Does anyone know what this kind of vase is called and how old do you think it is. Any help would be appreciated. The images are hosted by an external site.

It looks like Satsuma to me. Is there any mark on the bottom?

A mark would have been good to pin it down. It could be anywhere from the Meiji period up to more recent. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in.
