Picked this tiny 5" (12.5 cm) tall blown glass (Bohemian?) decanter with matching 2¾" (7 cm) stemmed glasses yesterday because it was so cute and I've not seen anything like it before.

Decanter has polished pontil mark and inside its neck and stopper are both marked with matching "2" (I think it's a 2).

Glasses have un-ground, un-polished pontil scars.

    Stained (not flashed) ... correct?

I know that children had toy porcelain tea sets for tea parties ... did they also have "cocktail parties" with sets like this??? Or is it really just for cordials?

Anyone seen a set this small?
    Guesses to age or origin?

Ruby stained cordial set from somebody like Egerman. The bottle would not have shipped with the stopper in it so the "2" lets the clerk match them up. Probably for export or tourist goods.

Hey Quirky, haven't seen one so small. The pattern sort of reminds me of Egermann but don't know if they made small items. It is precious.

Thank you for that info! :)
Do you think this was for actual use or just a novelty or toy?
Filled to the brim, the glasses hold just under 1oz.

Czech? I do think it's a cordial set. Adorable.

    Very sweet, quirky.
They are engraved with grapes and vines. For fortified wine rather than cordial maybe?

    Maybe.
I must be using the wrong combinations of words for searching ... even when I find glasses that are almost this tiny, they have a much larger decanter with them.

This thing is more the size of a perfume bottle than a liqueur/cordial bottle.
    Weird.
