Мешок (meshok.net)</a></p><p><br /></p><p>On this photo in Meshok it looks like it is not "ШВ" but "ИIВ", in the old Cyrillic there were two "I"s, now in modern Cyrillic, in Ukrainian they kept those two "I"s and use both, in BG and Russian there is only one "I" - "И". So it looks like the initials of the full maker's name with three letters - eg. Ilya Ivanovich Vassilyev. And that the old Cyrillic style is used.</p><p><br /></p><p>Now I read that the language reform when "I" was excluded from Russian alphabet, was done in 1918. So the letters on this mark use Russian Cyrillic from Tsarist times. Cannot say if it is originally from this time or a modern repro.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
