Hey all! Let's hope you're not getting tired of all this. The living room is next on the list, but it's too big to do all at once. Here's an overall pic, but it doesn't get everything:

So here goes: This first picture has a child's walnut chair ca. 1920 supporting several books, including 2 volumes of the privately printed history of the noted Chicago architectural firm of Graham Anderson Probst & White, only a couple of hundred printed way back when. There is also a marble-topped plant stand ca. 1900 with a pair of Deco art glass vases purchased by a relative on a trip to Italy in 1924. Above them is a beaded pull from Massachusetts ca. 1850. Amazing work!

Next is a quarter-sawn 3-door oak bookcase from Kansas City ca. 1915. It supports Welch Gerster, Welch Cary, and Welch Baby Cary rosewood clocks ca 1879 and a lamp signed Raynaud 1926. Above them are three Vanity Fair caricatures ca. 1870 in 1930s frames.

This is a music stand with marquetry inlay, now a bookstand, attributed to Herter Brothers of New York, ca. 1875.

Speaking of Herter Brothers, here are a couple of armchairs attributed to them ca. 1870, probably part of a parlor set. The table is a turtle top tilting breakfast table from England also ca. 1870. It supports a slag glass lamp with a light up ("lighthouse") base ca. 1915- 20. The rug is about 100 years old and uses vegetable dye in the pattern.

On the right is an Eastlake walnut cylinder desk/bookcase ca. 1890. It's unusually narrow and fits into just about any corner. To the left is a walnut dog table (look on the stretcher) ca. 1855, made in Cincinnati. It supports a very early unmarked Wilkinson electric lamp ca. 1905, a bride's basket, and a recent bronze by Mark Hopkins featuring a jaguar in the jungle.

Lest I overwhelm you, this is the last photo for today. In front of the mantle is a Roseville planter and pedestal ca. 1940s. Planted in it is another cutting of a 200-year old Christmas Cactus. To it's left, barely visible, is a cast iron dog/nutcracker. Shielding the fireplace is an English fire screen featuring needlepoint and petite point framed in rosewood. Those are horse brasses ca. 1890 to the left of the fireplace marble.

Hanging over the fireplace is a verdure canvas picture from England in its original frame ca. 1680. Left to right on the mantle is a blue crinkle glass vase from Italy, a rosewood Welch Cary clock ca. 1879, a peg lamp from France ca. 1880, a rose claret jug dated 1911, a Meissen mourning bust ca. 1840, a Campbell's Kids iron bank ca. 1920, another Meissen bust ca. 1840, a matching rose claret jug, an American peg lamp ca. 1890, and a Seth Thomas mantle clock with rosewood veneer bought in 1880.
