Featured Love at first sight! Broken clisonne bowl <3

Hello everyone!

You know those films/books et al that depict a man and a woman running toward each other in a sunny field...?
When I saw this poor bowl I had a similiar experience...I saw it from a distance and tripped merrily toward it, kicking everything out of my way to get to my prize.
I paid four pounds for it, which I never do**faint** and especially for a broken thing.
But the beauty consoled me.

Is it cloisonne?
It's not what I am used to but don't know what else to call it?

It has found a place here despite the damage ( if by *a place* we mean it's filled with other stuff and looks like it's always been there)
It looks like silver foil under glass or something.
It's approx 7 inches across,and three inches to the little foot.

Been looking at cloisonne and it could be Japanese ?​

 

It is still a beauty, albeit damaged. Yes, it is Japanese foil-backed cloisonné. There is a name for it, which won't rise to the surface of my misty mind right now. Someone else will know.

 

It surfaced! Ginbari is the name for this type of enamel on foil.

Does *that girl* mean me? Those are not like this one,if so. I saw those before I came here...have seen loads IRL too. Not the same. I wouldn't be running over to an Indian bowl
