Featured Lustre ware child figurine

    I've had this odd thing for a while. It stands at 17cm tall. Any ideas on where it might have been produced? I am thinking Japan. What is you thinking?

    Good guess. In the 50's lots of lusterware figurines so may around that time period.

    Thank you. Other thought was Russia. They produced some odd looking things too

    Germany also produced some lustreware pieces.

    Japan certainly produced a lot of lustreware, bur from that orange colour maybe Czechoslovakia. Not sure.

    Thanks. I have actually found an identical one on Ebay but it has absolutely no detail in the description.
