I was down in Cincinnati a couple of weeks ago. While I was there I went to several antique malls. At one of them I found this painting by Mari Baum Landes. It was a very reasonable price and I like that style of painting. I thought there was a particularly good use of light, shadow and color. It reminded me of regionalist paintings from the 1930's. Not a ton of information about the artist but enough to get a decent idea of what she was doing and the kinds of things she liked to paint. Thought I would share and see what people thought.

Agree with your regionalist take but maybe painted a few decades later than the movement. Tacks or staples in the stretcher?

It’s small nails or tacks. I was thinking 50’s or 60’s.
