Mark Japanese or Chinese?

    Hi! Have had this vase a long time never found out who made. Looks to be hand painted with raised paint. It’s 12 inch tall.     It’s upside down. It reads “Pu San” - Pu Mountain, sometimes referred to as Putuo Mountain. Of Buddhist significance apparently. The technique reminds me of majolica tiles.

    Pretty! The method of raised decoration is called "tube lining." A technique perfected by Moorcroft. Slip is applied via a tube to make the raised outline and then glazes fill the spaces. Your vase is nicely done. I would've guessed Japanese, but the potting is fairly thick. I dunno who or where, but I like it.

    Pretty! I wonder what kind of flowers those are? They appear to be a type that grows on a tree. Reminds me of a tulip tree or something similar.

    I thought of magnolias, too... but didn't check to see whether they exist in eastern Asia. Thank you!
