I'd agree, serious age. The mark looks pseudo Oriental, which happened a fair bit in the 18th C. They look tin glazed.

Is that purply pink luster/lustre? If so I believe that would make it 19th C though could be early part.

I don't know the maker but the free hand of the mark reminds me of French ones.

I think you have a real find! Very strange mark, lovely cups and saucers, unusual handle. I suspect not English, but I'm no expert. I really hope you manage to identify them, because I want to know the answer!

I'm really envious! I agree with say_it_slowly that there is something French about the mark, or possibly Italian or Dutch. When you find out they could be worth many multiples of £3!

Might be worth popping them on the British porcelain Facebook group.

Just adding to above -- keep doing research. Maybe the FB page as Bear suggested.

I've never seen a mark like that.

That puce ought be fairly distinctive, likewise the handle. They're copying Chinese porcelain.

Hm. Bow is a thought. How translucent are those?

Godden says Bow used underglazed blue pseudo Chinese marks.

I dunno: it looks a tad chunky and not well painted enough for Bow. Which is not to denigrate them.

Get them on the FB page.

Not translucent at all obb, the glaze is super thick

I'll see what they say on the FB page and let you know

I think not Bow in that case, the glaze is too gloopy.
