    Hi everybody,

I think I need your help again.
I have just bought this massive opaline vase today
    .
I'm not sure where it's from.
It could be Harrach (Bohemian), it could be Russian, or made by Richardson (UK).

Now my question is how to call this style.

Is it neo-classical? Roman? Greek Revival? Etruscan?

    I really have no idea.

Any input would be welcome :)

    Thank you!!!

Harrach is a good possibility. This one i found has the same color. Different shape though but closest I could find.

How did you do that :p
I have been searching for about 2 hours now, and found just a couple of things that came close, but not a near match. It's not the same color though, but it's also a detachable pedestal vase. With the same style of painting.

Have you been searching in czech?

This is my closest right now, due to the color.
And it's also attributed to Harrach, by someone who knows much about glass.

And another term I came across: Pompeian Style.

I have 2 decanters that are a little larger, but not this wide.

    It's the biggest I've got:

    Height: 47,5 cm / 18,7 inch.
    Diameter: 24 cm / 9,45 inch.

Weird for a vase, I want to turn it upside down. Assuming the bottom is solid, closed. My mind can't put flowers in this.

I think you're right :p It should be a pedestal tazza or something like that.
A pedestal coupe. You could also choose to cut you flowers a little shorter ;)

That's a good example. Think I was right on Harrach.

I have a bottle in this decor, the decoration on mine is in poor shape. I was just recently discussing it with someone else (On Facebook Scandinavian glass group) who has a similar piece - I did tell her that it was likely Harrach, glad to see real evidence of that show up here!

    Neo classical.

It may have been a garniture.

I have to say they are called etruscan literally everywhere.

And on Bonhams.com I found a pair of bohemian glass, which they called "comports". Now that doesn't translate to Dutch, but I think it's similar to a coupe or tazza, because in my results on "comports" I get the larger ones, but also the smaller ones.

    I think I prefer pedestal coupe/tazza :p
