Hadn't noticed the stamp yet, but it's French
    "Fait à la main" (handmade)
    "St. [...] Port [...]"

There's an Etsy seller who has 4 St.-Jean-Port-Joli items for sale ...
    The seller: BerylToysCanada
No idea if there's any connection with your item, as the nickname of the BerylToysCanada page owner on Facebook, is doris.cheng.3939

I’m a bit confused, there’s a ? after the word bronze in the description then says it’s ceramic in the information.

Charlie isn't sure either, so it seems to be a mystery figurine.;)
The base on Charlie's figurine doesn't look like bronze. It looks like it could be a softer material, and the striations are not very bronze-like.

I agree, I can see some typical tiny resin holes in the base but I have occasionally seen real hollow lost wax casting bronzes filled with resin there before. There should be a temperature difference between the body and the base if that’s so.

Actually it's in French - hand made. St John Port-something

Bet Komo is correct about it being Quebecois. They sell similar around Boston with paint on them. "The Gloucester fisherman."
