Featured Maybe Georgian earrings

Did I beat the dealer?!
@Ownedbybear ’s post nudged me to post these earrings.
They were in with the modern bling at £3 a pair. I realised they might be interesting straight away but was thrown by the screw backs until I realised they weren’t a pair and the backs had been replaced.
Obviously they have been scarred by having the backs replaced but are the dangles likely Georgian?

I would say yes, they certainly could be. Silver with glass pastes.
Unusual (for me) shape though. Amazing that they still got all their drops! Earring backs get replaced all the time.

Revival... the mounts are molded, strictly identical on each one, the rhinestones are vintage ones, not old pastes. The screw on system is original IMO, they are vintage antique!
Still a nice find for 3£

 

I’m with kyra, those look revival to me, too. As she says, they’re not hand crafted. I’d think twenties or thirties. Nice ones.

 

Kyra is right of course. Insomnia when you are used to a full nights sleep is hard.
They are still amazing and beautiful though, in the old style.

The backs are definitely different. The circles marked silver are different sizes and where they have been welded on is different.
I’ll try to get some better photos.

 

The findings look to be the same metal as the drops, age and all. Either way for three pounds, why not?
