    Hello,

I recently purchased what I think is a Meissen L Series Cherub Pressing Hearts. I’m confused though because it should be marked L107, but mine is marked L117. Everything looks super legit except for that.
Is it possible for it to be legitimate but a mistake to have been made at the time of manufacturing? Has anyone heard of this happening before?

    Thanks!

Thank you for the reply, moreotherstuff. What does it mean to have a cancellation of the mark? (I’m very new to all of this)

A cancellation would be a short line ground through the mark. There can be one or multiples depending on the problem with the piece. I'm not saying there has to be a cancellation mark. I don't know.

    This shows cancellation lines:

I agree with moreotherstuff.....the lines through the underglaze blue swords could indicate seconds or flawed. Still a nice piece!

I’m confused though because mine does not appear to have lines through the swords (unless I’m just not seeing it). Here are a couple more pictures of the mark.

I'm not seeing cancellation on your mark either.
