    Went to an estate sale today which is really unusual on a monday but picked up a couple of things. The first thing I saw was the menorah sitting on a shelf, picked it up and saw the 925 on the rear panel hidden under a bunch of tarnish (pics after cleaning). It was marked at 25.00 but was able to get it for 20.00 which is more than I usually pay but I liked it. Had the artist name " Yaacov Heller "
    Also saw the welsh allyn otoscope with attachments in a Bakelite case, was marked 20.00 but since the seller couldn't get it to work got it for 5.00. took it home, new batteries and cleaned contacts works like new.
    Think I did alright!:cigar::cigar::cigar:

    True, was a strange sale. The owners packed up a couple of suitcases and left for Africa as missionary's told a neighbor to sell everything.

    I'd have jumped all over that too. If you sell it, expect it to head back to Israel; Israelis are buying back their history and childhoods too.

    Beautiful Menorah!
    (Are you in the Boston area? I noticed the otoscope was marked OB St. Elizabeth's. I was born there in 1955.)

    Old Poet, No central Fl area but this otoscope might be a little before your stay there.
    Was embarrassed by the heavy tarnish on the last pics so here are a few all polished!
