Mild but effective paint stripper ?

I just picked up an old Coffee Grinder that was re-painted black, the original red w/ a few gold accents color is still pretty sound under the newer paint. The question is-is there a mild enough Stripper that would hopefully gently take off just the top new coat ?
Could be a longshot-but I know someone out there's faced this prob before. Thanks !

 

Thanks davey- Got some out in the garage. Re the ventilation, absolutely-knocked me on my butt once (back to the 60's !).
