About 12ins long and stamped D R Jones. I haven’t been able to find out anything about this mini golf club. Any suggestions about the maker or age?

Guessing it to be in the 1900 to 1915 range, by the looks of it.

There's a golf course in the UK that was built in 1905 called Tenterden. I can't read the end of that line on the sole of your club, but it kind of looks like that. Not sure if there's a connection or not. Maybe do some research on that.

At first I was thinking salesman sample because of the level of detail, but I don't know. I sold a couple of salesman sample golf clubs that were about that length a couple of years ago. A McGregor iron and an unmarked wood. Your wood is more detailed than the one I had.

That’s very helpful as I could read TENT......?
That gives me a great lead to follow up. Thanks very much:)

Brilliant. Now I know it says Tenterden it’s obvious but I couldn’t see that for love nor money before!

Tenterden may not refer to the golf course, but to the design of the club. It's common for club designs to be named after courses. Might be part of a larger golfing novelty, I've seen wee sets with mini leather bags.

Oddly I’ve got a little set of golf club pencils too. Think they may go as a lot as golf is definitely not my thing
