    Hello everyone!
I recently got this wooden box with many metal toy figurines.
The figurines seem to be hand painted, rather poorly.
Toy soldiers are 40mm high and race horces little less.
They all look old and in poor condition.
I can tell by the uniforms that british soldiers figurines are from colonial times.
The other military formation has horizontal stripes red white red flag.
Horse racers are absolute mistery to me.
Since I have no knowledge of vintage toys, I would appreciate any help.
Thank you for your kind attention.

Horses could be "Steeplechase" type horses

Ok. They are s.chase horses, but how old and from which country.
    They have no markings

Is the british flag (red on blue) real or fictional?

I wonder if the racers could have been game-pieces?

I think someone hand painted it the wrong colours, it depended on what colour paint they had.
It looks like the 24th Foot Regiment that fought in the Anglo Zulu wars at Rorke`s Drift

In my search I have found british imperial flags similar, but without large cross
