Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Hi all! Gotta start to function sometime so here goes!!! Mom gave me this sometime before DH & I were married so that's at least 50 years I've been hanging on to it. The one thing I have NOT done (after looking on ebay and seeing that they DO!) is weigh each piece!!! There is/was never any tray with it....DH did most of the polishing.....now, NEITHER of us like to!!!! The Toast Rack is the only piece that is Plate......AND I forgot to add.....there ARE some dings here and there, I assume from other owner/s use and wear!!!!

AAAAND, the rest of them!!!!! I did see a bit larger set on ebay for around $1899.00, so I don't know if that's very high or low, with mine being smaller, or whatnot......I'll have to try and dig more for prices. I think the engraving is "JCR", but I also could be wrong on that!!!! ANY and ALL input most gratefully received with MANY thanks!!!!!

Such a small scale, the tall pot (coffee) is just over one cup and the shorter (tea) is not quite two cups. It wouldn't be enough to get me going in the morning, but may have been for breakfast in bed or a lonely afternoon tea/coffee.

Adorable set! Oftentimes, the pieces with capacity underneath were used in hotels - where a single cup pot would come in handy.

BTW, would any of you silver people call that design on it 'fluting'??? If not, what DO you call it???? And how old do you think it is?? Thanks!!

They called this one ribbed, but I don’t know if correct.
Also called bachelor due to size.

This other is expired listing regarding hotel connection.
Fine Gorham three-piece tea set in sterling silver. This "bachelor" tea set is in the Queen Anne style with intricate fluting, and engraved with an old English "B" or "R" on one side. All pieces marked with Gorham symbols for sterling, lion passant, anchor, and G. Also marked "Sterling" and 1 pint. Tray marked "Steigenberger Hotels." Made between 1855 and '60
