Featured Miniature oil painting ID help

    I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the signature on thus miniature oil painting? I thought it read "belme" but couldn't find anything under that name. Thanks for any info!

    Think you will find this is a modern copy of a portrait of some society beauty of a bygone era. Often the signature is that of the copyist, although sometimes have seen them with the name of the original artist. I'm seeing Balme? The paper on the back is supposed to make you think it is antique.
