Featured Miniature picture, tin back Mexico. (Not antique) Name for this?

    Getting ready to list this, I know newer and not huge value, but cute decorative piece for someone. A few shadows in the first pic, but you get the idea. Any idea what to call this kind of pressed paper art?

    It sure is cute! Not sure if "intaglio" applies to this, but it's all I can think of on the first cup of coffee. ;)

    Lucille, I love it!

    I've only been to Mexico once, in 1991, and when I was there, I bought a bunch of these pieces to bring home as little gifts. I kept a couple, too! Here's (a TINY) one of mine:

    I like it, too.

    I agree that it's embossed. Also, if you don't see little dots in the colored areas under magnification, it looks like it may have been stencil-printed.
