Featured Mirror - Age/Style

    I don't own this (yet), but I do like it and was wondering if there is a specific name for this type of mirrors, and how old this is.
    I know I have seen a similar mirror a few years ago on a tv show, but with Google I only find large Louis XVI trumeau mirrors or Bernhard Rohne mirrors

    Looks a lot like this painting. I can’t find out when it was painted though.

    Google is a great help again:
    searched for 'the sower mirror', and I get images of shower mirrors ...

    No horses in the background though, look like cows on your version Marote.

    Marote is in the Netherlands, and we have none of those style terms here. Overhere this is considered Amsterdam(se) School. Those blackened corner woods are typical of the Amsterdamse School style.
    If it is Dutch, it is likely to be a horse.
    Mules are found in southern Europe. In the north we have 'heavy horses', beautiful workhorses.

    Look up Trumeau mirror for mirror type - not style
