Featured Monet Jewels brutalist piece, maybe?

I have never seen their jewelry with this hang tag that says monet jewels and then there is the fact that this is an odd looking bracelet that looks kinda like a torture device. I can’t find anything like. Can someone help me, please?

 

@gauntlettgems I don't know if it's too late to correct your spelling in the TITLE from MONEY to MONET, which I THINK you meant!!!???? AND it IS kind of a strange looking piece.....didn't realize at first it was a bracelet.....almost like a 'male dominance thing'...

 

That is the one of the oddest things I've ever seen. Does it actually fit like a bracelet? Wonder if the "Monet Jewels" hang tag is not original to the piece as it is in a different color.

But even the "Monet Jewels" hang tag is drawing a question mark because I haven't seen that. Maybe Monet used it just for a few years?? But still doubt original to this piece...or??

It reminds me of some German Art Deco bracelets.

 

It looks to me as if someone took the guard chain (complete with Monet tag) from another piece and transferred it to this bracelet.

My first thought was...tag not original to piece and biker bracelet. Based on no knowledge..just impression !!!

 

Agree that the tag is not original to the piece (and pretty hysterical that it was attached) and the piece is not IMO brutalist. It is steampunk. Also, mechanical, biker, and (pushing it) modernist.

 

and it's been heavily worn so that the plating has worn off in many places...

 

Agree. I question listing it at all and I definitely think the tag could be problematic although without the tag it could appeal to the steampunk biker crowd but I don’t know if jewelry with that much wear sells.

I can't imagine why someone would put a Monet tag on that. Strange.
